SURGERY ROOM

The Odonto-Med clinic has an surgery room fitted with cutting edge equipment which allows us to perform any dental surgery under maximum safety conditions. Dental surgical procedures range from atraumatic extractions, odontectomies, wisdom molar extractions, apical rezection, to dental implants and sinus lift, cystectomies, gingivectomy, connective tissue grafts, micro-surgery, bone grafts and guided bone regeneration.

THE ROLE OF PHYSIODISPENSER IN DENTAL SURGERY

The NSK physiodispenser in the surgery room is used in implantology to clear the access of the implant to the bone. This micro engine is fully computer controled. Speed and torsion force are monitored, so they remain constant or adapt to the resistance it meets.

DIGITAL X-RAYS DURING DENTAL SURGERY

The surgery room is provided with a special digital x-ray machine (there is another one in the radiology room). We use it for intra-operating x-rays, which we can view right away on one of our computers, together with computer CT scans. This gives us real time control over all the intermediary steps of the surgery, directly from the operating room. In implantology and the surgical extraction of wisdom teeth which affect sensitive areas, this kind of x-rays can make the difference between success and failure.

DISINFECTION AND STERILIZATION IN THE SURGERY ROOM

For safety purpose, all equipment in the operating and sterilization rooms has a duplicate, in order to avoid compromises triggered by technical flaws.

The surgery room has an UV disinfection lamp. The UV rays destroy bacteria on surfaces and in the air, without releasing chemical substances. At LLL Dental we use sterile operating area, instruments, robes, gloves, masks and protective screens, disposable materials to ensure the maximum safety of all our procedures, according to sterilization standards imposed by Romanian Ministry of Health and the European Union.

BIOMATERIALS

In the operating room, we use addition materials such as Bio-Gide Jason Botiss collagen membranes, Bio-Oss, MAX-Resorb, MAX Graft, Cerabone.

INFORMING THE PATIENT

Prior to any procedure, the patients is informed regarding the diagnosis, the necessity of surgery, options and cost of treatment, risks and potential complications. We want an open and clear communication with our patients. We want them to be fully aware of their health.
